Elite Rehab for the Overhead Athlete
Specialized Care for Tennis, Volleyball, Baseball & Swimming. We bridge the gap between clinical rehabilitation and performance longevity to get you back to the court, field, or pool.
The Pain is the Symptom. The Mechanics are the Cause.
In overhead sports, the shoulder and elbow are often just the victims of what’s happening elsewhere in the body. If your hips are tight or your thoracic spine isn't rotating, your arm has to overwork to compensate. Stop chasing the pain and start fixing the movement.
We look beyond the joint that hurts. By analyzing your entire kinetic chain, we solve the mechanical errors that are putting stress on your shoulder or elbow.
Specialized Sports Rehab for the Overhead Athlete
We combine our background in physical therapy, strength & conditioning and exercise physiology to fully understand and identify the root cause of your injury by looking at how your entire body produces and transfers force.
Kinetic Chain Assessment: We evaluate key parts of the chain such as: hip internal rotation, thoracic mobility, and scapular control to see the link between your general mobility and your shoulder & elbow.
Sport-Specific Loading. We don't just "rest" the injury. We help you appropriately load and rebuild your body to become more resilient and perform better than before.
Clinical Precision: Every session is 1-on-1 with a Licensed Physical Therapist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. You get elite, individualized care in a premium athletic environment - unrestricted by insurance and focused entirely on your return to sport.
The 3-Step "Return-to-Sport" Roadmap
-
Assessment
Before we treat, we map. We perform a deep-dive assessment of your entire kinetic chain to identify strengths and limitations. We identify the "energy leaks" that are forcing your shoulder or elbow to overwork.
-
Programming
Once we’ve identified your specific mechanical limitations, we move into the active phase of recovery. We don't just "rest" the injury; we rebuild it. We appropriately load the injured tissue while simultaneously restoring mobility to the restricted joints in your kinetic chain. Your care gradually progresses from clinical corrective exercise into high-level strength and conditioning.
-
Performance Optimization
The final step is about ensuring you stay healthy and perform for a long time. We bridge the gap between rehab and performance by engaging you in an advanced strength and conditioning program tailored to the unique demands of your sport. We optimize your power output and mechanical efficiency so you can play at your best with a significantly decreased risk of re-injury.
“Carmel was instrumental in getting me back to competitive form on the tennis court after other therapists had failed. He demonstrated more than just his expertise, he went the extra mile to assess how my weight transfer on my left leg could help keep my right shoulder strong! Thank you Carmel for helping me be at my best!”
Frank S.“As a former collegiate athlete, I’ve had my share of physical therapy. I was so lucky to work with Carmel for my tennis injury. He was compassionate, and sport specific. Highly recommend!”

“My goal is to bridge the gap between clinical medicine and sport performance. I help you move beyond just ‘managing’ pain and start doing what you enjoy most with absolute confidence.”
What to expect from first session?
What’s included in your 55-minute Initial Evaluation:
1. Total Kinetic Chain Screen
We look beyond the pain to analyze your hips, thoracic spine, and even your lead-leg stability. By looking at the whole body, we identify the hidden "Power Leaks" that are forcing your shoulder or elbow to overcompensate.
2. Comprehensive Clinical Examination
A thorough diagnostic check of joint mobility, tissue health, and neuromuscular control. Using objective testing, we differentiate between complex issues - whether it’s rotator cuff pathology, UCL integrity, labral tears, or "Swimmer’s Shoulder" impingement.
3. The Performance Roadmap
You leave with a clear diagnosis, a recovery timeline, and instructions of what to do next to start achieving your goals.. You won't just be "resting" - you’ll start rebuilding your resilience immediately.
